In contrast, delivering a low percentage of oxygen would not allow for the optimal management of severe hypoxia, while trapping exhaled air for enhanced rebreathing is not a feature of NRBs, as it is designed to minimize the rebreathing of carbon dioxide. Additionally, humidification is typically not achieved through an NRB, as the focus is on providing concentrated oxygen rather than moisture.
